I'm sorry for not posting for so long. I've been diverted into writing a book, and until I've got it published, I haven't got the time to put into my blog.

Interpreting Experience 06/05/2011
1 Comment

I recently received the following  input  and I want to explore it:

"I can never legitimately challenge your experiences - such as OOB (out of body) types - BUT I can challenge your interpretations of your
experiences."
to which I replied:
"Maybe you could offer your interpretations of my interpretations of my OOB  experiences, except my interpretations aren’t interpretations; they are a sublime knowing or awareness that is intrinsic to the experience. Unlike the meditative state, they are an actual ‘felt-sense’ experience, and uninvited to boot!"

Experiences are experienced. Experiences are not open to be interpreted by abstract intellectual debate. They are to be learned from by the one who has experienced.    All living beings, including humans,  are in a body or form in order to be able to experience, in order to make better choices after suffering the consequences of actions based on those choices. Once we 'get' what our experiences are telling us, (usually repeated many times before we do), we then gain an understanding of the purpose of, or reason for, our experiences, and we can then make wiser or better choices next time (there's always a next time - to test us!).
I once had a wonderful friend who would throw her arms up in the air, exasperated with the current state of things such as the economy, or education, or religion etc., and exclaim:
"... but what's it all  for!"
Who or what is the economy for? What is the purpose of education? What is religion, really? What does life mean? What is its purpose?
The quantitative L-mode does not have the faculty to interpret qualitative meaning or purpose. Instead, the L-mode denies that there is any meaning or purpose in life. However, experience - in and out of the body -does provide the understanding of  its meaning and purpose once we learn what it is trying to teach us, through questioning our experiences and circumstances.

With out-of-body experiences, there is the same consciousness of being yourself as there is while in your body, and the same thinking process occurs. You ask yourself questions; you wonder; you  question your experience. I guess that is because you are still energetically attached to your body, as occurs in sleep (as opposed to being dead).

To illustrate,  here is one of my altered-state experiences:

Around the early eighties I was walking to the car with my shopping when suddenly 'I' was simultaneously elevated - fully conscious - several metres to the side of myself,  watching myself as I walked along.  'I' couldn't believe that what I was seeing was me! "What a funny little body!" I thought, laughing; " Why would I choose such a funny little body?"  Then I was back in my "funny little body", still laughing, with the experience fresh in my mind. When I got home I wrote a few lines to sum up my experience:
"I walked beside myself apace, amused at my companion"

L-mode: Masculine Principle; R-mode: Feminine Principle 05/26/2011

Since linear 'time' began, the entire  evolutionary mental development of Homo sapiens  has been through the L-mode masculine  principle of mind. Ancient matriarchies were probably those  in transition from the 2-dimensional sensory/instinctive animal 'dreaming' realm of Homo erectus, to the three-dimensional perception of the separate   L-mode human realm of Homo sapiens.
The animal evolutionary phase of perception is homogeneous: all is perceived as one; an undifferentiated whole.  Animal perception is not mental. Animals survive by their instincts, through their senses. Glandular instinct is instantaneous; there is no fear, only immediate action, fight or flight. To an animal, time is felt in the sensory moment.

The purpose of the L-mode phase is to define the unknown, objective, material, three-dimensional reality that humans found themselves in as they came out of the dreaming by developing and using  the faculties of the left hemisphere.
Emerging from the Dreaming, Homo sapiens  now had to survive by its wits, for animal instinct no longer served as protection in a three-dimensionally perceived reality where time was experienced linearly, with the memory of past things and an apprehension of the future creating unfamiliar emotions.  Homo sapiens was verbal, and in naming the things in this strange new world,  a cocoon of safety was built out of  the things named, because they were now 'known'. This cocoon of the 'known' became human civilization.
L-mode Thinking Creates a Patriarchal Hierarchical Social Structure
Being the Masculine principle, L-mode thinking projected an abstract patriarchal social structure, based on the  'first solid' of the third dimension: the tetrahedron. This abstract pyramidal structure lent itself naturally to an arbitrarily striated belief and value system.
Thus was formed the abstract  L-mode patriarchal hierarchical social structure - with its male-biased beliefs and values - that is still in place today. An invisible social structure that is inherently biased against the Feminine principle in all of its manifestations: from its mental complement the R-mode;  to the female gender; to all things considered 'weak' or 'less-than'; and to Mother Earth and the evolutionary Web of Life (the distinct realms) that are born of her.

In a future post, I will look at how this abstract patriarchal hierarchical social structure has itself given birth to a second generation of abstraction.

The Reality and Hope of the New Frontier of Mind 05/18/2011

Hello!
Have you explored the whole of my site yet? If you haven't, please do, for it will give you the context for this blog's content. On my  '''Two Modes'  page there is a list of the characteristics or faculties of the left and right 'brain', or more correctly, the L-mode and the R-mode. My blog's aim is to explore each set of  these characteristics in more detail and depth.
Before I start though, I first want to stress how important it is for you to open up to any new terminology (such as 'R-mode' or 'L-mode') that you come across; as well as the challenging ideas and terrains that are inevitable  when entering uncharted territory. Think of yourself as an intrepid explorer of the new frontier - your own inner world of the mysterious R-mode - where everything is unknown and risky, but also exhilarating and intriquing.  Getting familiar with your two mental modes is a prerequisite if you wish to evolve your awareness exponentially on your amazing  journey within to the fourth dimensional reality, where you will discover the answers not only to The Big Questions, but  also your own personal problems. You will also discover who you really are, your intrinsic value and uniqueness, your potential genius, and your true purpose.
So, take the plunge, and allow yourself to start categorizing things as either L-mode or
R-mode ( according to their characteristics), until it comes naturally to you.
The two modes are fundamental principles that apply to all of reality, from micro to macro dimensions, and everything in between. They enable us to grasp both the obvious quantitative facts, and the hidden qualitative factors around any problem or situation. They allow us to place L-mode things within an unseen R-mode context, so as to place them correctly; in other words, you will be able to see the interconnections between all things, and know where they fit or belong.
So study the two modes until you are comfortable with what they are and what they represent, remembering that you are dealing with your whole mind, not just the               L-mode half of it.
If you start thinking "this is R-mode", "that is L-mode", you are gearing up to take your own quantum leap into visionary four-dimensional perception, which is my hope for you, and through you, the world.
Have a great day!
